The Company
Our client is a well-established Fortune 100 company with a solid financial backing with nearly 4000 employees in the US. They are a leading refining and chemicals company producing fuels, building block chemicals, asphalt, base oils, and lubricants. This company has expanded its operations through capital projects and acquisitions worth more than $3 billion since 2002.
The Position
Advanced Process Control Engineer will develop, support, and improve both base control and advanced controls for the Olefins and Aromatics facility. This Engineer will be responsible for revitalizing and upgrading the online optimizer for this facility. He/she will work with operators, operations supervisors, and process engineers to accomplish the controls required to support the day-to-day operations. The Process Controls Engineer will also oversee the alarm management system of the facility and work with operations leaders to meet their needs.
Candidate Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have BS in Chemical Engineering and at least 3 – 5 years of “hands-on” experience with advanced process controls. In addtion, candidates must have working knowledge of the following software programs:Dynamics Matrix ControlDynamics Matrix Optimizer or RTOPT softwareAspen +
Compensation
The client offers a very attractive salary in the $85-115K+ range. In addition, the company offers a impresive benefits package, and a great quality of life.
Location
This position is located in a medium-sized city on the beautiful gulf coast of Texas, not far from the Houston area. This state-of-the-art facility produces transportation fuels and aromatic chemicals at its 300,000 barrels-per-day plant. Relocation assistance is provided.
