Provides quality assurance of mechanical systems, equipment standards, and documentation that enhances the field's Facility management operations. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results. Provides leadership to cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient development and implementation of Facility Services policies, procedures and functions to increase productivity and maintain quality. Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:Develops and maintains a Facility Services organization to support all field requests in relation to policies and procedures. Develops, implements and monitors department budgets. Develops and implements expense controls of Facilities efforts through expanded reporting visibility and accountability. Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives. Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:Coordinates, facilitate and implements programs and schedules to fully integrate License Concepts and International into all facilities programs. Determines annual capital and expense budget requirements through the use of asset management programs and fleet analysis. Assists in data gathering and building of network and supply chain analytical models to determine optimized network. Develops analytics and metrics across equipment types for preventative maintenance standards. Directs information gathering, conducts analysis and reports on business data relative to managing short and long term cost for repair and maintenance. Conducts in-depth analysis of equipment life cycles including problems, causes and solutions for store physical assets. Develops plans and facilitates implementation of equipment projects. Studies and recommends improvements in processes, technology, systems, mechanization and human factors. Drives projects and large scale initiatives that contribute positively to the environment such as reduced electrical usage, water conservation, and other green store initiatives. Identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains in the facilities, equipment and distribution networks. Works with other departments to improve costs and processes for equipment standards and repair and maintenance cost. Oversees the Technical Parts Department and provides support for the regional depots for process & systems optimization. Determines best methods and procedures for parts inventory and distribution. Measures time and motion standards for related functions. Provides technical analysis and project management support for the facilities support and equipment services team.
