Web QA

 

 

Position Summary

The Web QA position is responsible for review and validation of user interfaces against design, functionality, language, and accessibility requirements. This position requires a strong command of grammar, spelling, aesthetics, logic, and an ability to comprehend and evaluate complex database-driven systems. Activities include analyzing design and feature specifications; reviewing multi-page, multi-language sites; documenting compliance with specifications and best practices; and audits of existing web sites and associated back end structures and content.

 

This position reports to the Manager of the Client Interface group and works closely with the Web Programmers and Account Specialists.

 

 

Responsibilities Web site functionality testing Browser compatibility testing Accessibility evaluations Web content proofreading in multiple languages Managing error tracking and resolution

 

Required Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript Detail oriented Strong analytic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects Proficiency in Windows XP, Office 2003

 

Education and Experience Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college Portfolio of web sites demonstrating design, coding, and content editing experience Experience with accessibility testing
