PMI is seeking an experienced professional to oversee and progress the planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance for the Virtual Communities Program (VCP) and its workflow including design and documentation of plan for new communities and their operation; implement, monitor, and assess approach, procedures and impact of the program. Develop, implement, and oversee the Institute transition plan to a new community model. Work with existing communities to ensure a smooth transition and ensure effective operations in new model format. Assure sustained quality and viability of networks that support project management throughout the practitioner community.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, international relations, communications, or related field.

· Minimum 5-7 years experience in product management environment. Working knowledge of not-for-profit organizational and governing structures, as well as experience serving global customer base and interacting with chapter organizations is preferred.

· Demonstrated ability and success with assessment and analysis of data and projects, including well-developed presentation skills to ensure understanding and acceptance of findings and related recommendations.

· Proven communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of business goals. 

· Successful record of effective conflict management and resolution, as well as ability to effectively negotiate with multiple audiences, with a focus on positive outcomes for all affected stakeholders.

· Successful record of development, implementation, and administration of virtual programs.

· Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deliverables as well as routinely prioritize among major initiatives and operational tasks.

· Knowledge of social networking tools, online collaboration tools, and publishing tools beneficial.

· Design, preparation, and documentation of work plans; ability to see the big picture and report progress accordingly.

· Strong verbal and written communications skills, including public speaking and ad hoc presentations.

· Relationship management skills, including demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff, global customers, volunteers, and external organizations with a track record of positive long-term outcome-based relationships.

· Proven results working with multiple external committee structures preferred.

· Multiple languages desired.

· Project management experience desired.

· Knowledge, experience, and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, including weekends and/or holidays.  Must be available to travel – approximately 10% travel.
