We form long-term, strategic partnerships with our Fortune 100 clients and assist them in achieving enterprise-wide efficiency through our service portfolio of Retained Search, Executive Coaching, Career Transition and Leadership & Training Development.

 

We work with clients across the Southeast region and offer a global reach through our Partner Network of Career Transition and HR experts.

 

As a result of recent growth, the firm is seeking to strengthen the senior leadership team by adding a dedicated VP of Business Development. We are a mature organization with 10 professionals, strong dedication to ethics and emphasis on work/life balance.  

  VP, Business Development

 

Reporting directly to the President, the appointee will have the opportunity to initiate and operate a full life sales cycle for Executive Search, Career Transition, Executive Coaching and Leadership & Training Development consulting services. To succeed in this role, the appointee should have direct experience in a solutions sales environment and have successful selling experience with senior executives primarily in the Atlanta area. This role is essentially responsible for growing the Firm’s professional services sales into its target client segments. While the focus is on closing new business, it is equally important to have a strong understanding of a consultative and strategic selling process. Our Firm has built a successful practice of business services through consultation and excellent client service and we build trusting relationships by operating in a collaborative manner while providing quality information and solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities:

v     Prepares Business Development plan in cooperation with the firm’s leadership and practice leaders;

v     Qualifies new client leads;

v     Coordinates conversion of: New client leads, utilizing the Firm’s professional services resources in a team-selling approach; New sales opportunities at existing clients;

v     Transfers client relationships to appropriate professional services resources during lead conversion;

v     Annual sales revenue growth, performance against plan;

v     Represents the Firm in the GA, AL and FL markets.

Education, Skills & Abilities

v     Experience with developing executive-level client relationships, especially for client accounts of $100M to $2B in revenue;

v     Minimum of 7 years experience in professional sales using a solution-oriented, consultative approach (Experience from a professional services setting a plus);

v     Track record of revenue attainment that meets and exceeds sales goals;

v     Solid understanding of executive management and HR related services;

v     Four-year Undergraduate degree (in sales, marketing, finance, business or economics preferred); MBA a plus;

v     Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills;

v     Ability to adapt sales approach to individual client situations, work through conflicts, articulate the Firm’s value propositions, gain trust and persuasively influence prospective client behaviors, is essential;

v     Possesses maturity and is persistent, results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic and entrepreneurial;

v     A quick study, able to assimilate information on multiple services and adapt to the Firm’s evolving sales models and culture.
