Manages relationships with vendors. Identifies, selects and monitors vendors/suppliers. Establishes systems and procedures to ensure and enhance overall quality. Establishes requirements for suppliers to achieve process and quality standards. Facilitates development of team/partner relationships with vendors/suppliers and maintains relationships for long-term contracts.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the operations liaison for DFM (Distributor Fleet Management). Identify DFM customer requirements and process gaps as it relates to distribution and transportation. Develop processes to ensure communication of requirements to carriers and to warehouse. Ensure transportation requirements are met by providing delivery and in-transit reporting. Monitor KPI's specific to DFM shipments. Address carrier issues. Track shipments; provide proof of deliveries and shipment documentation. Make carrier decisions/selections based on cost and requirements. Coordinate needs with Lexmark DFM Team, customer, carrier and distribution. Manage carrier contracts/suppliers.
Experience Requirements:
• 3-5 years of Transportation and/or Supply Chain related experience
• 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience including managing cross functional change and broad business exposure.
• Expert in influencing across functional and regional boundaries. Responsible for overall team performance. Strategic liaison between Supply Chain Operations and divisions.
• Six sigma or Lean certification a plus.
