Global LT’s Translation Department provides a full range of language services including translation, interpreting, transcription, multilingual desktop publishing services, website globalization, software localization, subtitling, voiceover and multicultural marketing. The right candidate will work in-house from our global headquarters in Troy, Michigan, USA. A relocation package is not provided.

 

Global LT is currently seeking a Translation Project Manager to join our team. The Translation Project Manager’s (TPM) responsibilities include monitoring and quality control of Global LT’s “Translation Solutions�: Translation, Interpreting, and Voiceover services (provided by outsourced and internal resources).

 

Responsibilities include:

Managing Projects and Performing Quality Control:

· Participate in a wide variety of project-related activities. Maintain extensive communication within the Translation Department, with the Sales Department, Vendors and Clients. Identify, monitor and resolve problems. Ensure deadlines are met or exceeded. Ensure processes are followed to maintain the highest quality. Proofread final product and at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy. Implement current and create new quality assurance measures.

 

Analyzing / Pricing / Quoting:

· Analyze new projects, determine pricing, and provide quotes to Clients.

 

Interviewing / Hiring / Managing Vendors:

· Vendors include Translators, Interpreters, VO talent, equipment rental companies, etc.

· Hiring of Vendors based on their subject matter expertise and experience, evaluation of their translation, maintaining quality with the Vendor, etc.

 

Billing:

· Organize and process sales orders, invoices and payments.

 

Archiving:

· Organize and store files and correspondences (both electronic files and hard copies).

 

Qualifications include:

· Experience with translation or localization

· The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

· Fluency in a second language

· Superior written and spoken communication skills

· Bachelors degree or its equivalent

· Strong computer skills
