TELECOM SPECIALIST

 

Global Compliance Services, a global provider of ethics and compliance solutions to the Fortune 1000, seeks a Telecom Specialist to join our fast-paced OSS Department, located in our corporate headquarters in the Ballantyne area of south Charlotte. The Telecom Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of telephony solutions within the Global Compliance suite.

The following Telecom Specialist position is now available:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

 

· Conduct auditing support of telephony assets including Direct Access, ITFS, and Domestics toll free database

· Implement custom calling plans, advanced features and other telephony product solutions

· Provide back up to Telecom Coordinator for custom calling plan implementations

· Interpret, audit and ensure accuracy of corporate telephony assets

· Provide for testing of all new telephony designs implemented by the telecom department

· Coordinate implementation of telephony features with new clients, sales, and the telecom coordinator

· Assist the Telecom Coordinator with program audits and monthly bill processing as required

· Assist with the maintenance of call routing and other functions within the corporate PBX system

· Implement standard custom calling plans and ensure adherence to policies and procedures governing the use of these standards

· Monitor the progress of implementations of customer calling plans with vendor to ensure timely delivery of product to the client

· Audit and maintain telephony assets including voice files, number assets, and other programs

· Assist in the development of new telephony offerings utilizing best in class practices to ensure cutting edge products are maintained

· Stay abreast of and apply new technologies and advancements in existing technologies and network offerings

· Implement continuous improvements through the incorporation of best practices

· Provide on call support of telephony 24/7 requirements as scheduled

· Participate in other IT projects or responsibilities as assigned

· Assist with special projects and other company efforts

· Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Knowledge:

 

· Bachelor degree in business or equivalent experience preferred

· Two to four-years of experience in telephony and end-user support

· Two-years customer service experience

· One-year experience with telephony custom calling plans or other toll free products preferred

· Experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Office Excel and/or Access databases

· Experience working with end users and clients to identify needs and translate those needs into product solutions preferred

· Experience with and knowledge of GCS’ product suite and the technologies and systems used by each department preferred

· Some experience with telecommunication platforms, networks and other technologies preferred
