Technology Test Engineer

Location: Henrietta, NY 14623 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Pay Rate: USD 18.00 /hour Our client, one of the world's leading document management technology and services enterprises, is currently looking for a Test Engineer for a 1 year contract in Henrietta, NY.Job Description: -Expected to act as a peer technology mentor within the practice. Capable of working independently, contributes to projects at most phases, but also can take a project management role with small to medium size projects utilizing SEI/CMM practices.  Required Skills:  PROFESSIONAL  (1) Independence: Is mostly self-directed. (2) Written: Can produce documents related to their work with little review. PLANNING SKILLS - (1) Task Estimation: Can estimate tasks within their area of expertise (2) Progress Tracking: Can provide good status and completion time estimates for their area of responsibility. MANAGEMENT - (1) Leadership: Can provide technical guidance to more junior staff members within their area of expertise. May take on project leadership role for moderate sized projects under supervision of more senior staff member. (2) Organizing: Can effectively organize and prioritize their own work. Can use project management tools to track project progress and keep clients updated and aware of client responsibilities and dependencies. TECHNICAL: Has a knowledge foundation in most (if not all) of the technology areas within the competency track of interest, have an internally recognized expertise or certification in one or more areas. Demonstrate delivery and support capability for the specific competence track practices and methodologies.   BS/MS in CS, IS, CE, or EE, or equivalent work experience and practical knowledge Experience: Minimum 2 years Technical Competencies: CLIENT HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE (HSW) - Have depth of knowledge in one or more of the specific areas of specialization: Windows, Office, Exchange, etc. internals; hardware platforms and peripherals Additional Job Requirements: Experienced in removing hard drives and examining them for security and overwrite purposes. Port Scans and exploits for those findings. Network security experience.
