Location:US-CA-Los Angeles Job Number:LOS0002V Employee Status : Regular Job Type :Experienced Schedule : Full-time Description The Technology Consultant II is responsible for the maintenance of a wide range of customer relationships. This individual understands customer businesses and processes, as well as Information Technology (IT) products and services. The Technology Consultant II advises customers how to properly apply and integrate technology into their business so that benefits from increased effectiveness and efficiency are realized. ResponsibilitiesUnderstand customers' business and advise customers on the technology products and services that apply to their needs. Understand the IT organization and its business-i.e. processes, products and services-and be able to explain it to our customers so they understand IT plans, offerings, and capabilities. Listen to our customers, understanding their needs, recognize opportunities to proactively assist them, and respond as appropriate. Continuously evaluate our processes from the customers' perspective by soliciting their feedback as to satisfaction and what we can do to improve. Promote greater utilization of existing technologies by explaining the business reasons for the technology and how it can enhance our customers' ability to be more productive. Assess how existing and emerging technology can make our customers become more effective and work more efficiently. Document our customer interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database on a daily basis to support seamless experience across the customer lifecycle. Ensure the streamlining of information flow between customers and the IT organization, escalating discussions, as appropriate, regarding technology-related status, expectations, and concerns. Recognize value-added customer service opportunities and proactively pursue them through the appropriate channels. Collaborate with other IT organizations to leverage existing tools and services and accepted support processes and policies to ensure consistent service delivery to the customer. Actively and consistently participate in Area all-hands and operational meetings. Share customer-related knowledge, formally and informally, to enhance IT understanding of the customers' businesses and how technology products and services add value from a customer's perspective. Represent oneself as an effective team leader and member; a team player promoting a positive and inclusive work climate. Work collaboratively with others, quickly and appropriately resolve conflicts when needed. Actively share knowledge and best practices with peers and provide guidance to those less experienced in the technology consultant role. The incumbent will carry out the essential functions of the job via the expected behavioral competencies for a Supervising Associate. To qualify, candidates must have: equivalent technical experience; a bachelor's degree preferred approximately 4-5 years industry experience; technical support experience technical knowledge of firm core technology products; such as Microsoft products, Lotus Notes, etc. ability to work under pressure, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers
