We are currently seeking Technical Writers to write Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) recruiting and retention doctrine, policies, regulations and procedures in support of the United States Army Cadet Command. Some of these benefits may include:•Flexible medical, dental, and vision plans •A wide range of Life/Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability •Attractive paid time off benefits •Flexible spending and education plans •Retirement plans •Educational reimbursementRequired SkillsSuccessful candidates must:•Possess an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).•Possess exceptional writing skills. •Possess a thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, Cadet Command regulations, and policy.•Have served as a commissioned or noncommissioned officer in the US Army or Army Reserve. •Have a minimum of three years (six years preferred) prior US Army Recruiting Command, or Cadet Command experience. Experience must be current (within the last five years) and termination of the position must have been favorable. •Possess computer skills with IBM compatible PCs, to include initialization, operation of Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics programs, performance of user maintenance using supplied user manuals, Windows environments, operation of modems, and familiarity with email and internet environments and operations.•Pass periodic, unannounced, Government administered drug screening tests.•Travel and stay overnight for periods up to 30 days.•Possess a current security clearance or a favorable National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Check (NACLC).Required Experience•Familiarity with Cadet and Recruiting Command regulations, policies, procedures, and field training concepts and practices•Write a variety of technical publications, articles and reports•Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.•May lead and direct the work of others. •A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Submitting a resume online at a job site could cause valuable screening information to be missed.
