The Technical Analyst role works as a lead technical resource to maintain and upgrade PC s, servers, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and excellent communication skills as well.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities: Specify and monitor the support and troubleshooting of PC s and network equipmentSpecify, install, configure, administer, support and troubleshoot network serversDesign, implement, support and troubleshooting network infrastructure and networking devicesSupport entire technical infrastructure including servers, switches, routers, firewalls and load balancersDevelop, implement, and manage plans for infrastructure upgrades, technology assessments, and long-term solutionsSpecify and procure networking equipment and help manage networking vendorsDevelop procedures and documentation to support and help develop the infrastructure teamDevelop, estimate and propose technical solutions for business problemsPerform other duties as assignedAssist in general IT activitiesProvide after-hours support for systems and applicationsTravel to remote offices up to 10% of time Experience: 3+ years experience with network server applications including databases, web servers, FTP servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and Unix3+ years experience in designing, implementing, configuring and supporting IP networks including VPN s and VLAN s2+ years experience in setup, configuration and maintenance of networking infrastructure including Cisco switches and routers, T1 and WAN configuration, administration, and troubleshooting, and managing ISP and other providers Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field preferredMaster s degree a plusCertification in CCNA requiredCCNP and MCSE certification is a plus
