Global Mobility professionals focus on helping clients with their international assignment programs. Services range from delivering expatriate tax returns, to assessing a client's vendor, to completely outsourcing its assignment administration. We also advise on the tax and HR implications of certain transactions involving global executives and HR policies. We currently have a career opportunity for a compensation professional to provide services to corporate client employees and their tax providers related to compensation issues that arise out of international job assignments.ResponsibilitiesServe as a team leader and mentor to staff. Be responsible to ensure the client team produces quality deliverables, on-time and within budget.Work with the Account Manager to perform to client expectations, including satisfaction and performance measures. May interact with the client in lieu of the Account Manager.Assist the Account Manager in development proposals, demonstrating center services and other business development-related activities.Research and resolve compensation questions/discrepancies.Work with the client's tax preparer to answer questions on earnings, remittance of foreign taxes, tax equalization and settlement payments. Submit appropriate totalization letters to the U.S. Social Security Administration. Perform quality reviews on the assignee's compensation documentation. Complete the tax-bridging process; maintain electronic compensation files and print compensation reports.Coordinate tax authorization list preparation with the client and/or tax preparer.Serve as the point person for payroll and related professionals to coordinate the process (e.g., due dates) and to answer questions.Provide the year-end compensation summary and verify information with W-2s; correct statements as needed.Track the status of all payroll, host and off-payroll data for each assignee.Assure timely and accurate processing and delivery of hypothetical tax, allowance and lump sum payments, payroll-related advances, home country housing deductions, etc.Reconcile payroll data against payroll registers; resolve discrepancies.Assist client-serving professionals in meeting client deliverables, service expectations, business development, client transitions and department objectives, as needed. Identify and communicate ideas to make the compensation process more efficient. To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in communications, business, human resources, international studies or a related field and at least 3 years of experience working knowledge of foreign assignment matters, including payroll, accounts payable, relocation, tax, and compensation and benefits knowledge of international compensation calculations, including hypothetical tax, allowances and lump sum payments, payroll-related advances, home country housing deductions, etc. general knowledge of world affairs, geography and economic issues multiple language skills and/or overseas/international living/working experience preferred PC proficiency, including knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic mail; Lotus Notes proficiency preferred
