Overview:
We’re looking for a Data / Systems Architect to work with an innovative design team to create the perfect balance between business, design and technology for various sectors of the financial services and education industries.
Responsibilities may include:
Understand current business processes, rules and models
Design and implement:
New conceptual, logical and physical data models for transactions and analytics
Advanced analytics-driven reporting and business intelligence frameworks
High-performance data warehouse and data mining operations
Messaging network for intra/extranet SOA
Leverage an enterprise-wide rules engine and business process management platform
Cover data requirements for rapid prototypes
Oversee ETL for various data stores
Evaluate appropriate technologies for adoption
Requirements:
A Masters Degree or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
At least 10 or more years of experience in enterprise software development:
5+ years in data modeling tools
3+ years in complex business tools
3+ years in information architecture
5+ years in web-related technologies
Excellent hands-on knowledge:
Data warehousing, OLAP, data mining and auto-decisioning
Business intelligence applications leveraging multi-dimensional, large datasets
ETL, federated systems and enterprise ontology
Business rules engines and business process management
Frameworks and components
ER modeling
Structured data/documents and XML
Expert understanding of object oriented methodologies
Experience with unit testing approaches
Core data concepts: metadata, retention, scalability, performance, integrity, availability, accessibility and staging
Experience Preferred:
MPP data-warehouse appliances and/or column-store database architectures
Salary range:
This is a full time position in New York City with a salary range from $120 - $135k plus stock options and performance-based bonus
