Sr. Recruiter – Workforce Planning

The Western Business Unit’s Recruiting team of CGI’s Operational Shared Services division located in Edmonton, Alberta is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of some of the most compelling projects in our industry by managing the acquisition of new Members and delivering comprehensive project-staffing solutions across the Edmonton Area.

We have a demanding but rewarding career opportunity for a Sr. Recruiter, Workforce Planning to assist with overall staffing objectives and activities for various consulting practices and business verticals within CGI.

Reporting to the Director, Workforce Planning for Operational Shared Services, and working on a growing team of recruiters, you will be primarily responsible for managing and balancing project-based staffing requirements with hiring needs of our consulting practices. You will attend regular status meetings and participate in local/national recruitment calls to assess the needs/availability in other business units. Your role will act as single point of contact for discussions relating to current and future assignments, and proactively identify and promote Members who are coming available to opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally (as appropriate).

The primary functions of this role consist of:

• Manage key relationships within supporting business to gain full appreciation for nature of work/projects/priorities
• Seek to understand full scope of staffing requirements for supporting business
• Gain full working knowledge of ATS/RMS – utilize ATS/RMS to manage full cycle recruitment and staffing objectives
• Meet regularly with supporting businesses to gain understand of overall needs, act as an advisor on prospective candidates and to influence the businesses on hiring process and decision making
• Balance activities to ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experiences
• Prepare reports/interpret recruiting data as required and present back to the business on current activity, pipeline development and where required, opportunities for improvement in recruitment process
• Utilize advanced sourcing techniques such as Boolean-equation, latent semantic, data-base/ATS/Job board and professional networking site mining
• Actively engage in either technical, behavioural or situational interviewing assessments
• Prepare qualified slate of prospective candidates to businesses along with supporting recommendations
• Work with Recruitment partners to ensure offers are processed rapidly and with full legislative and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 4-7 years experience with a successful track record as a full-cycle recruiter in a high-volume, complex and rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated achievement in recruiting for hard-to-find resources including but not limited to Management Consulting, Project Management life cycle and software development life cycle within a variety of industry verticals such as Banking and Investments/Wealth Management, Public Sector/Utilities, Management Consulting, Telecommunications
• Well defined and proven sourcing methods, high degree of familiarity/proficiency with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn, Jobs2Web, Tweetmyjobs, multiple search engine and meta-search engines, job aggregators/propagators etc
• Demonstrated competency in working with competing priorities
• Well established relationship management skills – experience in working with and guiding/providing consultative advise to hiring teams within supporting businesses
• Experience within a consulting environment, familiarity with the concepts of billable resource requirements, utilization, and bench hiring.
• Ability to navigate complex, matrix-based organizational hierarchies
• Strong practical experience with several ATS/RMS platforms, particularly Njoyn ATS.
• Strong team-oriented working style
• Track record of bringing new recruiting operating concepts to fruition, active participant in the enhancement of tools, techniques, process and procedures
