Sr. Consultant - Service Assurance - DSL Functional Specialist

This is a full-time Senior Consultant position for an enthusiastic individual with a technical background and experience in Service Provider space (Telco, Cable, Hosting Provider), IT service modeling, service monitoring and service level reporting. Responsibilities: Act as the team subject matter expert with the Service Assurance team in areas of xDSL technologies (ADSL/2/2+, VDSL), related standards, technologies (DSLAM's, ATM /Frame Relay networks, Last mile, CPE/DSL Modems) and associated solutions Strategize, design, build and deploy with team members, large Test & Diagnostics solution implementation, Monitoring and Service quality management systems with integrations with various Element Management systems (EMS), Ticketing Platforms, Inventory /Asset Management systems Interact directly with clients at Operational and Management levels Lead development and maintenance of one of Service Assurance solution offerings in area of Test & Diagnostics, Performance ManagementRequirements: 5-6 years professional experience in network operations and/or support industries preferably in Service Provider (Cable, Telco, Hosting Provider) specifically related to either design, implementation and management of DSL related technologies (ADSL/2/2+, VDSL/2, SDSL) 5-6 years professional hands-on experience DSLAM and associated technologies. Significant experience with use of TL1 command line for management of DSLAM, CPE Management, running last mile Loop-line tests, designing configuration options and protocols for DSLAM (such configuration of DSL Noise Profiles - Fast path, interleaving options, debugging of FEC/HEC/CRC errors). Multiple Line Bonding for bandwidth (T1/E1, DS3/E3, OC3 and GigE) 4 -5 years experience with configuration and implementation of Management solutions for DSL technologies including vendor EMS (Cisco, Huwaei, Zhone) Experience with industry leading standards and framework models such as eTOM, ITIL. Ability and proven skills to apply these models, related process definitions into practical process & tool implementations Previous consulting experience required, preferably a Big 4 firm. Must be willing to travel up to 80% (Monday - Thursday/Friday).
