Job Description:

 

This exciting, newly created role requires a Senior-level Solutions Architect, with Cross discipline understanding and project based experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

· Utilize a Consultative approach to streamlining and improving Development and Infrastructure projects.

· Develop formal requirements gathering processes that ensure a detailed understanding of any medium to large projects, prior to committing to either cost or schedule. 

· Work with all appropriate IS/IT teams to scope and document all project requirements.

· Gather Functional and Non-functional requirements

· Outline qualified build specification and Work effort required (work packages)

· Specify Hardware, software, and professional services costs

· Review new technologies which will reduce overall costs, create efficiencies or provide significant value

· Look for cross platform tool consolidation opportunities

· Develop an IT technology roadmap and gain buy in from the IT and IS communities

· Seek out automation opportunities

· Responsible for representing all technology disciplines within IT, partnering with the appropriate IT areas as needed to involve subject matter experts where appropriate.

 

Job Qualifications 

· 8+ years experience working in I.T. Infrastructure

· Technically competent in a minimum of 3 of the following disciplines

o  Windows Server OS

o  - Linux

o  - AIX

o  - Unix

o  - iSeries

o  - Cisco Networks and general networking concepts

o  - SAN and centralized storage (EMC, HP or IBM)

o  - Middleware (WAS or MQ)

· BA or equivalent preferred
