Software Developer

Solveras Payment Systems, an industry leading electronic payment processing company is searching for a Nashville, TN-based candidate to fulfill the role of Software Developer.  In this key position, you'll be responsible for creating new local and web applications as well as supporting existing proprietary applications.  You will report to the Director of Information Systems.  Job Functions:

·  Supporting requests for updates and enhancements to proprietary CRM application.

·  Creation of new web applications as well as support to existing corporate websites.

·  Interface with LAN and WAN users in an application help desk role.

·  Assist in the development of computational and statistical models.

·  Create ad hoc reports in support of company-wide initiatives.

Essential Skills and experience:

·  VB, VBA and VB.Net coding skills.

·  VB script coding skills a plus

·  C# coding experience a big plus.

·  Experience with MS SQL Server, relational database table design and indexing.

·  Experience with SQL Server stored procedures and functions a plus.

·  HTML, Java, PHP and ASP coding skills a plus

·  Intermediate level Microsoft Office experience, specifically the following:

·  Experience creating Excel spreadsheets employing formulas, including standard functions, linked pages and/or pivot tables, as well as layout and page formatting.

·  Experience with Access with query design, including nested queries, IIF statements and complex criteria, including wildcards, and complex table relationships and indexing.

·  Experience importing, linking and exporting data, including knowledge of common data types such as delimited ASCII, as well as experience creating import and export file specs.

·  Experience with macro design

·  Basic report design

·  Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·  Experience documenting work-flow processes a plus.

·  Strong comfort level and interpersonal skills in working directly with the end-user, particularly in pressure situations.

·  Comfortable coding in a fast-paced, “prototyping” development environment.

·  College degree or equivalent required.

·  Minimum two years related work experience.
