Estate Information Services (EIS) offers its employees financial and career advancements in the unique field of probate debt collection.  Our professionals research, contact, negotiate and finalize accounts remaining after death through communication with executor, lawyers, other professionals and family members.  The Skip Tracer/Asset Locator provides support to collectors in their efforts to obtain card holders most recent contact information, alternate phone numbers, next of kin, tax assessor’s information, etc.

Part Time (25 hours/week)

Available Shifts:

Monday - Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm, 10:00am – 3:00pm, or

12:00pm – 5:00pm

 

Job Summary:  The Skip Tracer/Asset Locator is responsible for using a broad range of tools to locate assets, wages.  Assist in the resolution of accounts where the primary account holder has been identified as deceased.  The skip trace position entails using various tools to locate surviving family members of the decedent or the executor of the estate in which we do not have valid contact information.  The Skip Tracer provides support to collectors in their efforts to obtain card holders most recent contact information, alternate phone numbers, next of kin, tax assessor’s information, etc.  Once contact has been made with the account holder, normal collection effort is completed.  

 

Skill Requirements:

§  Typing at an average speed or better

§  Basic understanding of computer functions

§  Ability to clearly view a computer monitor

§  Ability to operate, communicate and hear clearly over the phone

§  Ability to input and interpret data simultaneously

§  Ability to work independently

§  Experience using Accurint preferred

§  Technical: Skilled in using internet search tools and other skip tracing resources

§  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook

§  Education: High School diploma or equivalent required

§  **Prefer 1-3 years experience in skip tracing and asset location

Training Program: EIS trains its employees individually to allow the employee to progress at his/her own pace.

 

Physical Environment: All work for this position is performed on site at EIS’s Columbus facility.  Each employee is assigned a working space that encompasses an office cubicle, desk, swivel chair, and technical equipment needed to perform the duties.  Extensive time in a seated position is required.  There is no lifting, pushing, reaching, pulling or related physical requirement to perform the essential functions of this position.  EIS will provide reasonable accommodations to the work environment for any employee who requires the accommodation as directed under ADA.

 

Other Requirements:  All of EIS’s employees pass a nine panel drug screen urinalysis that tests for the presence of illegal use of the following drugs: THC (marijuana), cocaine, PCP, opiates, methamphetamine, methadone, amphetamine, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines.

 

EIS employees are free of convictions within the past seven years of crimes that involve:

Shoplifting

Fraud/Credit Card Fraud

Petit Theft / Larceny / Grand Larceny

Concealment of Property

Bad Check / Worthless Check / Fraudulent Check

Trespassing with the Intent to Steal

Possession of Stolen Property

Embezzlement

Forgery

All Felonies

Credit Card Misuse
