Programs may be comprised of standard lines programs involving homogeneous accounts or accounts with high hazard risks with unique exposures not readily written by standard markets. WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
This position is charged with the program management of assigned programs, along with the underwriting of individual accounts within those programs. The following three major components are part of this exciting opportunity: Program Management: Manages, implements, monitors and takes corrective action to achieve Sales Plans for Programs. Is effective at managing and participating in annual program reviews, and accepts accountability to achieving specific objectives critical to success of program management. Identify and make recommendations on potential cross selling opportunities with Specialty Programs/Captives and Regional Offices. Seek and share feedback from internal and external customers on areas key to the success and growth of Programs. Risk Selection/Underwriting: Is efficient in utilizing available tools in risk selection, pricing, and account management. Effectively communicates proposals and internal referrals for pricing, terms and conditions to external/internal customers. Remains current with assigned program(s) and corporate underwriting positions, underwriting tools, and policy forms. Follows program(s) and individual authority guidelines. Responds to QAT deficiencies within appropriate timeframes with corrective measures followed through and documented for account acceptability. Relationship Management: Establishes and maintains good internal and external customer relations to further the strategic goals of Specialty Programs. Identifies new business opportunities, retains renewal business and promotes ways to enhance ease of doing business through working with customer to reduce/remove both actual and perceived barriers. Exhibits flexibility, high levels of responsiveness and a positive/supportive attitude with all customers. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
· A bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is preferred· A minimum of three years underwriting experience in the commercial lines arena· Effective oral and written communication· The ability to build and maintain effective client relationships WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY?
