POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Marketing/ProductSALARY: 70,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD /year *Senior Product Manager* Job DescriptionSenior Product Manager GENERAL Full-time Position Career Level: Experienced Reports to: Executive VP of Product Development and Marketing Job Location: South Orange County, CA PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES· Create, develop, and execute comprehensive product development plans for branded and private-label products within the retail consumer product category to meet company objectives· Work closely with product development in translating customer requirements into a functional specifications utilized for product development.· Create product specifications for new products by working with end users and leveraging a thorough understanding of our target markets.· Evaluate, prioritize and justify alternative product ideas and develop supporting financial models and analysis.· Direct all phases of new product launches. · Coordinate developing prototypes and scheduling/conducting beta testing for new products and work closely with product development and key end users integrating customer feedback and confirming that prototypes deliver on meeting end user needs.· Execute product launch activities including, but not limited to the following activities: assigning part numbers, packaging, artwork, literature, marketing collateral, user manuals, reference guides, checking standard pricing, point-of-purchase displays, etc.· Carry out market research and competitive intelligence related to the industrial business, including analyzing competitive product offerings, establishing partnerships and investigating new market opportunities.· Build business plans for retail consumer products that include opportunity assessment, positioning strategy, financial analysis, and required tactical plans to support successful adoption · Deliver on an ongoing basis retail consumer product requirements with associated prioritization, metrics, and supporting analysis · Assess partnership opportunities and establish third party programs · Train sales teams and support selling activities, including development of sales tools and collateral · Manage product line maintenance activities including, but not limited to sales forecasts, inventory, pricing, packaging, SKU rationalization, etc. ESSENTIAL SKILLS· Good understanding of retail consumer products environment· Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, and to work effectively with customers, development, and field teams · Outstanding leadership, teamwork, and communication skills · Must have a “can-do” attitude and be flexible in a fast-paced start-up environment. Experience in a start-up environment preferred. · Must be an intelligent individual with an excellent work ethic, exceptional judgment, and unquestionable integrity · Hands on, high energy, and highly responsive · Some travel required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree from an accredited institution MBA or other advanced is desirable, but not required 5+ years in related product management/marketing positions Proven track record of successfully defining and launching excellent products About Ultimate Staffing Want to work with people who care about your personal and professional growth?
