Must be able to quickly grasp business requirements and transform them into new product functionality. Must be able to design, implement, and maintain product features for web-based J2EE enterprise-scale software applications. Must be a collaborative team player able to work with global teams.Position Responsibilities: This is a hands-on position that will also operate in as a senior lead/technical resource in providing guidance to lower level positions and offshore team members. ? Apply complex concepts in the creation, design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software products/systems. ? Program using JSP, Java, Bean, XML, JavaScript, and Database on J2EE.? Work with offshore development resources in as a technical lead performing design and code reviews. ? Write functional specifications based on high level system requirement documents.? May be responsible for assigning work or giving direction to lower level engineers and/or offshore team members. ? Review progress of projects or major phases of projects, evaluate results, and recommend technical correction if necessary. ? Follow existing design standards and contribute to the creation of new standards as they are defined.? Develop and execute unit test plans for software projects.Scope/Level of Decision Making: Operate with minimum supervision and apply advanced knowledge in developing software products and in coding, testing and debugging software. Should be able to guide junior team members on all technical aspects.Knowledge/Skills/Experience: This is a senior level position typically requiring 4-10 years of experience with working knowledge of Java, JSP, XML, and J2EE programming. ? Requires a BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline. ? Fully knowledgeable about object-oriented programming. ? Exposure to database systems.? Comfortable working on both NT and UNIX. ? Ability to translate product requirements into product features with functional specifications.? Ability to architect complex designs and clearly articulate such designs on paper for short development cycles (3 -6 months). ? Working knowledge of XML and XML based technologies such as XLST and XML Schema (XSD) is essential.? Knowledge of AJAX programming techniques and experience is a plus. ? Knowledge of the PLM domain is a definite plus.? Good verbal and written (English) communications skills.?
