This position will be responsible for developing senior level global relationships, target accounts, planning and prioritizing, segment analysis and high levels of global relationship management. Ideal candidate will have experience working within government sectors/government relations. Additionally, this person must have experience working with CEO’s, international diplomats and have excellent presentation and relationship management skills. Must have successfully demonstrated progress within market penetration for multiple product and service lines.
PMI is seeking an experienced professional to provide the vision, overall leadership, planning and oversight of organization-wide strategy for organization markets. Drive and lead organization relations initiatives, including business, government, and cooperative relations, ensuring strategic focus and alignment with PMI’s organization objectives, operational strategy and market needs. Drive market awareness and penetration for new and emerging markets aligned with organization and operational strategy. Identify market needs and develop plans to ensure value is delivered to the target market segments. Develop and manage channels for program, product, service and message delivery.
Assure market strategies and plans are developed and employed to attract, retain and enhance PMI’s global consumer relationships and satisfaction with consumers and other stakeholders. Refine and execute market strategy with focus on consumer market growth, satisfaction and retention. Drive market understanding and adoption of project management. Create mutually beneficial relationships that progress the profession overall and advance the strategic plan, as well as realizing ongoing development in relevant and emerging markets.
Provide leadership and build leadership capability of the group on long and short-term market and service direction, planning, priorities and implementation. Demonstrate sound business assessment, resource and business management, global access and delivery, and risk assessment, with efficient processes and required controls to assure operations and service integrity and fulfillment are achieved.
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent, MBA preferred.
· 7-10 years progressively responsible management experience in a global business environment involving multiple markets and channels, including experience.
· Experience building and sustaining broad account relationship management programs.
· Track record of successful market development and business plan development, including integration of market planning across diverse areas.
· Experience in a business to business (B to B) environment highly desirable.
· Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability working with customers, volunteer leaders and external organizations from diverse cultures and backgrounds with a track record of positive relationships with material outcomes.
· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, including demonstrated team-based operational and strategic results, with ability to lead, retain, and progress staff.
· Effectively lead and work with others for results, in addition to the ability to work independently on a variety of sensitive, confidential and/or otherwise complex matters simultaneously.
· Successfully process vague, abstract verbal and written information to establish program strategy, direction and implementation or action plans, with demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
· Highly developed organization, planning and management skills with ability to think ahead and plan over a five (5) year horizon.
· Experience in leading an organization through significant structural and cultural change/shifts, including demonstrated effectiveness of process outcomes.
· Demonstrated ability to drive performance excellence through development, implementation and application of performance metrics.
· Positive track record of business results and proven ability to develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders and generate organization growth.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and finesse, including effective meeting facilitation, public speaking to small and large groups, as well as ability to give corporate and public presentations. Strong data collection and listening skills.
· Proficiency utilizing Microsoft such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and other associated similar software expertise. Knowledge and experience with customer data systems.
· Work outside the typical work hours when necessary to meet assignments or project objectives.
· Moderate travel, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Knowledge, experience, and ability to periodically travel, domestically and internationally, including weekends and/or holidays. Must be able to travel 25%-30%.
