Lee (Petersburg), VARelocation: YesLength of project: 1 yearClient Name: Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)Performance Profile:· Develop an understanding how COTS products are configured, interact with each other and are used to support application processing on servers· Translate business goals into functional strategies· Candidate will demonstrate technical experience with complimenting project management experience· Lead software product selection projects from both a project management and technical perspective· Develop an understanding of commercial off the shelf (COTS) software, its function and ability to run on the various platforms· Write and elicit requirements, statements of work (SOW), and selection criteria· Understanding of Unix/Intel environments including the benefits and drawbacks of each· Demonstrate a strong software background including software development and/or database configuration management, including knowledge of server processing, networking and/or communications architecture· Work with the client to identify technical needs and develop new technical enhancements· Learn new software, and attain vendor and industry certifications for new processes.Position-Specific Skills:· Minimum of 6 years managing multiple projects and prioritizing, identifying and solving problems· 6+ years experience in multi-level oral and written communications· 3+ years experience establishing influential partnerships at all levels· Must have high-level understanding and or/exposure to Solaris, Windows, and AIX OS· Understand enterprise data center technical and business challenges· 4+ years experience with enterprise architecture, different IT frameworks and related principles, as well as software improvement processes· Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field required· US citizenship; must be able to obtain a NAC clearance· Minimum 8+ years total working experience· 8 years or more experience in consulting services with business strategy clients or working in corporate strategic planningDesired Skills:· Experience with commercial retail ERPs is a plus· 5+ years ERP experience· 3+ years DoD experience· 5+ years developing technical requirements for government systems and developing the documentation to support these systemsLogistics: > 10% local travelBusiness Segment: Technology & Management ConsultingBearingPoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability or any other basis covered by law.
