Senior Business Analyst - Benefits

Lawson's Landmark technology, coding using Lawson Pattern Language (LPL). Requires excellent communication skills for all phases of the development cycle.
Requirements:
* Breaks down high-level business/user requirements into functional product design, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on it. * Defines quality specifications, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. * Participates in requirements prioritization. * Performs requirements analysis/verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable and conform to standards. * Participates in design reviews and other work product documents derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. * Evaluates, incorporates and documents product change orders throughout the software development life cycle. * Identifies potential technical problems or design flaws so that preventive action can be taken. * Identifies usage patterns/entity relationships and abstracts them to common, reusable components. * Exhibits innovation in the development of new/improved methods or approaches to problems. * Analyzes customer feedback and collaborates to determine how requests fit into product development. * Ensures that product designs successfully fulfill needs defined in business requirements. * Creates and deliver presentations to various internal/external user communities with varying levels of product knowledge. * Provides domain knowledge/product knowledge to development and QA teams. Serves as a subject matter expert on products to support groups' marketing, documentation, training, support, field services and clients. Evaluates, validates, and incorporates and documents product change orders throughout the software development life cycle. * Identifies and implements resolution to problems with design processes to ensure software quality. * Works with Product Management to identify and implement processes that facilitate transformation of business requirements into successful product designs. * Participates in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools. * Identifies and implements ways to reuse components across designs and/or projects. * Participates in formulation of project plans. * Communicates regularly with project management regarding project deadlines and progress, escalating issues as needed.
Qualifications:
* Functional and technical product knowledge, preferably Procurement (especially Healthcare Purchasing, Inventory, or * Requisitions area, but could also include Accounts Payable). * Experience with business object modeling tools and/or entity relationship modeling tools. * Knowledge of source code management and configuration management. * Knowledge of Lawson applications.
Minimum qualifications:
* ERP Application coding experience, or at least experience with database definition through design documents * 2 years experience in the design and/or use of enterprise business software applications. Application domain knowledge * Exposure to and understanding of key business processes associated with application domain. * Understanding requirements analysis, specification, and verification practices and the ability to apply them. * Knowledge of how enterprise software products are positioned and developed. * Modeling skills to represent requirements/design information in graphical forms that augment textual representations. * Willing to travel a few times a year, including internationally * Team player with great analytical and communication skills. * 5 years relevant experience and Subject Matter Expertise in Benefits or Global Human Resources.
