Security and Loss Prevention Manager The Loss Prevention and Security Manager leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection within an assigned Fulfillment Center (FC). The LP Manager is a key member of the Amazon Customer Excellence System organization and works with the FC Operational team as well as cross functional teams throughout the organization. The position is based in Campbellsville, KY. The LP Manager will ensure the effective use of resources, metrics, & communication so that they provide our Senior Managers, Internal and External Auditors, and Shareholders with a high level of confidence in, perceived value from, and support of your department. Ultimately validated by their rating of your departments service level, their communication that your department adds value and their authorization of the investments required by your department. Detailed Description: • Ensure Internal Controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. • Ensure MDF rooms within assigned FC’s are effectively secured to eliminate possibility of data theft caused by physical access to the related data systems. • Provide leadership to FC security team • Provide advice and support (software, equipment and other tools, reports and data) to our facility security specialists. • Inspire performance excellence on the part of all staff members. • Ensure that you and your team members understand, align performance and actions with and can clearly articulate the vision and values of the organization and their department. • You and team will meet or surpass your objectives that align with security service model • Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators that properly correlate to our objectives and effectively (the speed they identify root causes of defects) indicate areas of opportunity and weakness that allow your team to prioritize, self-diagnose issues and expedite performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner. • Serve as department’s liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management keeping them abreast of key issues, strategies and departments performance • Develop business cases which receive required approval, financial and technical resources, and support of appropriate management to enact desired changes in your department so that it excels. • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency • Identify, promote and gain buy in from Security & LP peers as well as Supervisor for security best practices that are ultimately implemented for the FC network • Recruit, hire, and retain candidates who raise the performance bar of the security services organization when needed. • Ensure Security Guards performance by consistently testing areas that are key to their function (access control, alarm/incident response and reporting, and screening/theft identification and deterrence). • Ensure data, access, inventory control via consistent testing of facility(s) access control, screening and alarm system for facility and data • Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives. • Effectively address security incidents including potential and actual WPV per policy as well as conducting testing of the WPV and incident response plans.• Bachelor's degree required and Master in Business or related field is preferred. • Five plus years as a successful manager. • Minimum of two years experience in customer service driven environment. • Results oriented leader that possesses strong influencing skill and is comfortable working in a fast- paced and multi-tasking environment. • Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver.• Proven ability to work with and effectively persuade facility site leaders and other key departments within organization • Comfortable at being a hands-on supervisor who effectively uses established and leading edge technology, software, processes, critical information and data as well as the equipment and tools required for success in area of responsibility • Prior experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field is a plus. • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services is preferred. • Awareness and implementation of best practices related to the utilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques a plus • Individual will need to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group. • Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English • Excellent skills utilizing Excel (pivot tables a plus), Word is required. • Familiarity with dbases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, Access, etc a plus. • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired and certification is a plus. • Up to twenty-five percent travel (domestic). • Must be able to work in an industrial environment that requires a high degree of mobility and travel within the facility. • Must be able to lift 20lbs.
