Sales and Marketing Data Analyst

Schaeffer’s Investment Research is seeking a Sales and Marketing Data Analyst.  The right candidate will be cross-functional, supporting the data analysis needs of our Sales and Marketing departments.  A strong aptitude and interest in analyzing data is essential.  Data Analyst responsibilities include identifying opportunities to optimize sales and marketing efforts, maintaining management reports, extensive ad-hoc querying, and monitoring data quality and integrity. Attention to detail and the ability to be self-directed are critical.  In our fast-paced environment, employees handle multiple projects, often with short deadlines.  Schaeffer’s offers the opportunity to be empowered and challenged.  We believe it is important to enjoy your job and the people you work with.   Key functions and responsibilities:
* Measure key metrics and actionable business intelligence driving business results.
* Utilize MS Access, Excel and SQL to extract, transform and interpret complex data into actionable findings and recommendations.
* Support the daily operations of the in-house sales team by optimizing penetration of Schaeffer's database of sales leads
* Develop, package and present actionable insights to Sales and Marketing Management.
* Interact with multiple internal departments while multi-tasking on multiple projects.
* Manage data flow underpinning essential business processes. Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a quantitative discipline (Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc).
2. At least two years experience providing analytical support in finance, sales or marketing; includes analyzing, interpreting and presenting results.
3. Demonstrated ability with database design, concept, and usage with solid Excel, Access and SQL skills.
4. Excellent data retrieval and reporting skills, with polished formatting skills for maximum clarity and interpretation.
5. Experience in working with data at varying levels of granularity.
6.
