SQA Program Lead

Location: Job location not provided Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Expected Duration: 5+ to 7 Years Pay Rate: USD 50.00 /hour Reference Code: 1001148337 SQA/SCM Program Lead Responsibilities: Ensure the approved SCM policies, processes and procedures are being followed. Perform Software Configuration Management planning activities. Perform Software Configuration Management processes and procedures as defined in the company Software Engineering Handbook, the project SDPP / SMPP and the project SCM Plan. Perform baseline activities as defined in the company Software Engineering Handbook, the project SDPP and the project SCM Plan. Perform baseline audit activities as defined in the company Software Engineering Handbook, the project SDPP and the project SCM Plan. Creation of products from the baseline library. Conduct software configuration control board (SCCB) meetings. Distribute project SCCB meeting minutes. Generate and distribute SCM status accounting reports. Support the development and maintenance of the project SCM plan. Maintain the software baseline library. Provide training information for program staff on SCM practices. Administrate, configure, operate the software configuration management tools. Work closely with the staff to automate the SCM processes and procedures in use. Develop SCM documentation and training material. Plan tasks and activities to coordinate program engineering process quality needs with ongoing program process auditing and review. Develop SQA plans referencing all audits and reviews conducted for the program in collaboration with the divisional audits and reviews. Provide timely reporting on the audits performed, following the SQA Report and Resolve Process. Participate in CM audits performed by the company's MHS Quality Manager. Provide status reports to management on a weekly basis or upon request. These reports provide the higher level visibility into the program/project/organization. Participate in ongoing development and deployment of SQA processes, practices and tools for the SQA Practice Area, including meetings as requested with corporate SQA personnel. Support ongoing company Software Process training and also provide program support and mentoring to apply the company process to team projects within the program. Participate in reviews of the company process improvement efforts and help ensure compliance with CMMI and PRS guidelines. Participate, when requested, in plans for and provide reviews and audits of organizational process compliance. Current Security Clearance Level ADP II preferred. If not current, must apply immediately upon hire. All other duties as assigned.  Qualifications  Bachelor's degree or equivalent desired. Minimum three years experience in the software development industry. Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: software quality assurance, project management, requirement management, and software development. Experience with Software Configuration Management principles and practices required. Experience/familiarity with SEI CMMI or other software improvement model preferred. Software development experience and knowledge of systems life cycle is preferred. Ability to effectively manage projects and facilitate teams to achieve quality solutions required. Ability to work productively with a wide range of people is required. Strong written and verbal communications skills required. Experience administrating PVCS Version Manager, PVCS Tracker, Serena TeamTrack or other Software Configuration Management tools preferred. Hands on experience with PVCS configuration, check in check out, code promotion, and working with the full features of PVCS.
