SAP FI FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT

 
Oakland Consulting Group.  Has recently been awarded a SAP Program Management Support contract with the Defense Logistics Agency ( DLA)Supply Center Columbus. DLA is in the midst of a large upgrade to their Enterprise Business System which is comprised of SAP, Manugistics, BW/Business Intelligence and Oracle.  Accenture is the Integrator. Oakland will help/guide, manage and provide quality oversight to ensure everything is being done correctly and on time (see program overview below).  The 5 major SAP modules are FI/CO, MM, SD, and BW.  We need a senior FI/CO functional Consultant.  This is a 6 month contract with the potential for long term.  The position is located in Columbus Ohio and you could start within 2 weeks. Because this is a Department of Defense contract you must be a US Citizen. 

Program Overview

Background:

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is upgrading, replacing or installing several systems/applications.  This includes but is not limited to upgrading SAP version 4.6c to SAP ECC 6.0, Business Warehouse to Business Intelligence, ICAN to JCAPS, Oracle 9 to Oracle 10g, replacing the Methods Delivery manager (MDM) with the EBS Workbench and installing Solution Manager.  All upgrades, replacements or installations are in the planning stages or underway.  The BI and Oracle upgrades are scheduled to be completed during May 2008.  Go-live for the remaining systems/applications is scheduled for 1 October 2008.   

The government currently shares EBS maintenance support with the EBS System Integrator (SI), and has assumed lead responsibilities.  In order to ensure that the upgrades, replacements, and installations are accomplished in the most efficient manner and that the resulting software suite is optimized, additional contractor support is required.

3.  Scope:

The scope of work identified under this contract encompasses two primary areas: Custom training specific to the upgraded DLA EBS, including all system/applications.

 

2.  Consultation on best methods for implementation of the upgraded system/applications, including maintenance of the upgraded system and architecture after go-live.
