SALARY/WAGE: 34,000.00 - 34,000.00 USD /yearAnnual incentive, benefits, company car STATUS: Full Time, Employee JOB CATEGORY: Sales/Retail/Business Development RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ to 5 Years CAREER LEVEL: Experienced (Non-Manager) EDUCATION LEVEL: High School or equivalent COMPANY: General Mills Retail Sales Rep PURPOSE:  To optimize in-store conditions of General Mills products within a defined retail selling territory.  Activities are focused on timely execution of DMSP- Distribution, Merchandising & Display-selling, Shelving, Pricing.  This total store accountability includes work done by supplemental labor resources. RETAIL ACCOUNTABILITILES:1.  Effectively sell and accomplish Account Team and the NRO DMSP priorities; achieve NRO targets·  (D) Distribution (Established and New Item)Þ  100% of authorized new products tagged &/or shelved within the prescribed timelineÞ  100% of authorized products tagged and on-shelf in every store, which may include filling out-of-stocks on priority skus ·  (M) Merchandising and Display- SellingÞ  Use suggested-order selling technique to sell displays to storesÞ  Sell incremental inventory to support account ads, consumer coupon drops (FSIs), in-store coupon demos, and seasonalityÞ  Effectively leverage sell-sheets and surveys  to sell displaysÞ  Use display tools to influence display activity: cross-merchandising, shippers, slant backs, IRCs, PremiumsÞ  Communicate with 3rd Party support to fill permanent displays with inventory where applicable ·   (S) ShelvingÞ  Use Power Brand Sheets to achieve optimum space for shelf inventory on top selling skusÞ  Check Cereal Share of Shelf every call.  Use Power Brand Sheet, turns Rank Reports and Store Data to help stores achieve GMI share of Shelf equal to share of “$” marketÞ  For Independent stores, RSRs are expected to ensure all section resets achieve improved distribution and share-of-shelf for Cereal and other focus categories as appropriate (see “INDEPENDENT STORES: Attending Resets and Achieving Gold Standard Shelving page 3)Þ  Direct 3rd Party Supplemental Labor assistance to achieve goals where applicableo Ensure POG compliance is achieved in Chain and/or Highly-Controlled stores o Ensure Gold Standard GMI shelf-set is achieved in Independent stores for focus categories (see “ACHIEVING GOLD STANDARD SHELVING AT INDEPENDENT STORES”, page 3)Þ  Place Point-of-Sale (POS) or shelf trays basis quarterly priorities  ·   (P) PricingÞ  Ensure pricing is aligned with competitors and the rest of the lineÞ  Report pricing discrepancies to Supervisor and Account Team ·  (D) and (S) Execution in Focus CategoriesÞ  If (D) and/or (S) accountabilities are out of compliance and can not be completed within the continuity coverage plan, the RSR is expected to determine an action plan for correcting (see “ACTIONS REQUIRED IF (D) AND (S) IS OUT OF COMPLIANCE FOR FOCUS CATEGORIES”, page 4)
