Our Human Resource Services Division provides HR consulting, training and recruiting services to clients throughout Virginia, Maryland and the regional East Coast area. Currently, the Human Resource Services Division is seeking an HR professional to join its team in Newport News, Virginia. The Recruiter & HR Advisor’s primary responsibilities focus on providing full life-cycle recruiting services for clients, such as:
· Candidate pool development
· Resume assessment & candidate screening
· Conducting in-depth interviews with candidates at all career levels
· Accurately assessing candidates’ knowledge, skills & abilities
· Conducting background & reference checks and administering assessment tests
Our recruiters take an active role with our clients throughout the selection process. Distinguishing us from many staffing, temporary and contingency search organizations, our services are provided on a retained, exclusive basis. Primarily our recruiting efforts focus on accounting, finance and HR positions and our executive searches encompass all C-level and executive management positions.
In addition to recruiting, this person also assists clients with HR compliance issues and works with other team members on special projects such as writing/editing employee handbooks, assisting with preparation and/or facilitation of seminars, and contributing to our department’s newsletter. The successful candidate will possess the ability to manage these areas of responsibility as well as the following criteria:
Required:
· Bachelors Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
· 3-5 years Human Resources experience
· Hiring, interviewing and employment process experience/knowledge
· Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
· Innovative and professional mindset
Desired:
· PHR certification or ability to obtain
· Accounting knowledge (public accounting firm experience a plus)
