Receptionist/Medical Records Clerk

Tasks Manage and maintain the schedules of patients Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, and or presentation software. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email. Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals Perform general office duties filing medical records, scheduling appointments, answering 5 phone lines. Knowledge Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records. Must have knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. Must know Microsoft word and Excel- Proficient user. Skills Active listening skills Reading Comprehension Time Management Active learning Abilities Ability to listen and to understand information and ideas presented.
