Job Title - Purchasing Agent

Job Description:

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

·         Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies from weekly bid lists.

·         Represent the company in negotiating pricing with vendors.

·         Serve as vendor contact and resolve product discrepancies.

·         Enter Sales Orders based on Customer Purchase Orders.

·         Determine product availability and terms of sales.

·         Maintain daily records of new product and vendor information.

·         Assist other Purchasing Agents in Department when needed.

·         Review and resolve customer claims.

·         Performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

·         Ability to type, file, enter data.

·         Ability to write clearly and concisely.

·         Intermediate Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

·         Proficient with Internet Search tools such as Google.

·         One year of experience in a purchasing-related environment.

·         A Bachelor’s Degree.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Ability to research and interpret data.

·         Knowledge of vendor and product relationships.

·         Prior experience with MAS 200
