4Gen is seeking a Project Manager with exceptional project management, organization and communication skills to join our consulting practice. Qualified individuals will be responsible for analyzing and managing cost reduction opportunities as part of an overall corporate initiative to reduce Structural Costs relating to the consolidation and reduction of Hosting Services for a key client.
Key Responsibilities:Drive a comprehensive, controlled cost reduction management philosophy into daily operationsSupport the client team members with processes, tools and subject matter expertise to identify and achieve cost improvementsFacilitate structured workshops with client team members to identify structural cost reduction opportunities relating to the consolidation and reduction of Hosting ServicesAssess cost reduction opportunities for feasibility and develop realistic business casesDevelop, measure and track implementation plans ensuring appropriate milestones and tasks are included in all action plans Ensure proper status reporting process, structures, scorecards are implemented Validate estimates and resource assumptions to ensure they are realistic Manage and report status, risks and issues, and escalate to the Program Leadership as appropriate Manage client expectations and project scope boundaries as appropriate
Skills Required:Deep understanding and experience with entire IT procurement cycle including RFP, Contracting and Vendor Management ProcessesUnderstanding of Data Center Management, Consolidation and Cost Reduction techniquesExperience analyzing current infrastructure landscape to identify ways to reduce costs as it relates to server consolidation, storage capacity, etc.Understanding of IT Technical Architecture impacts on long term costsGood understanding of the internal budgeting process for ITExperience working with Hardware Lease SchedulesWorking knowledge of software licensing and maintenance contractingStrong project management and project organization skills Ability to develop and maintain project tracking tools and scorecards Knowledge of the IT Technology areas, best practices, issues and real world experience in developing and deploying global solutions Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within an organization Demonstrates excellent analysis, collaboration and communication skills Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities Ability to render complex concepts into effective client communications/presentations Ability to work effectively within a complex, global organization Ability to work effectively and efficiently with client team members Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Quick learner, Flexible, Process Oriented, Highly Organized and Proactive Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Qualifications:7+ years of experience as an IT Consultant, Project Manager, Program Manager, Development Manager, or IT Department Director or ExecutiveExperience in implementing cost management, financial processes and process improvement in large scale IT organizations with demonstrable resultsExperience within Big Five Consulting or Fortune 500 company is preferred Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Master’s degree is a plus Previous Program Office experience / PMO experience a plusPrevious experience in an outsourced IT Department
