Available Shift:
M-R 12noon - 9pm, Fri - 8am - 5pm, Occasional Saturdays (8-12)
Job Summary: Work on a team to control and maintain a team-assigned queue of accounts for estates for which executors or surviving family members must be contacted for information regarding the decedent and the open credit account. Resolve the account through telephone discussions and/or written correspondences. Accept payment in full, negotiate a settlement, or finalize the account without payment.
Skill Requirements: Typing at an average speed or better. Basic understanding of computer functions. Ability to clearly view a computer monitor. Ability to operate, communicate and hear clearly over the telephone. Ability to make an independent decision to finalize the account in a positive fiduciary manner.
Personal Attributes: Ability to respect and empathize with a grieving customer. Ability to work in a team atmosphere assisting co-workers to reach team and/or department goals. Self motivated to achieve personal goals and career progression.
Previous Related Work Experience: Prior work related experience in call center, collection, sales, negotiation, probate, legal experience or knowledge of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act is a plus.
Training Program: EIS trains its employees individually to allow the employee to progress at his/her own pace.
Physical Environment: All work for this position is performed on site at EIS’s Columbus facility. Each employee is assigned a working space that encompasses an office cubicle, desk, swivel chair, and technical equipment needed to perform the duties. Extensive time in a seated position is required. There is no lifting, pushing, reaching, pulling or related physical requirement to perform the essential functions of this position. EIS will provide reasonable accommodations to the work environment for any employee who requires the accommodation as directed under ADA.
Other Requirements: All of EIS’s employees pass a nine panel drug screen urinalysis that tests for the presence of illegal use of the following drugs: THC (marijuana), cocaine, PCP, opiates, methamphetamine, methadone, amphetamine, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines.
EIS employees are free of convictions within the past seven years of crimes that involve:
