Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) is the global leader in providing products and services to control heating, cooling, ventilation, humidification, industrial process automation, video surveillance and access control equipment; security/fire alarm and industrial safety systems, home automation systems; advanced software applications for home/building control and industrial optimization; sensors, switches, control systems and instruments for measuring pressure, air flow, temperature, electrical current and more.
 
Intellectual Property Counsel for ACS will
Manage patent application preparation and prosecution, including managing outside counsel and conducting maintenance reviewsDraft, review, and negotiate proprietary information agreements with customers, suppliers and other third partiesSupport Sensing and Control (S&C) and Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various transactions and technology agreements Develop and investigate IP enforcement opportunitiesSupport other attorneys in developing IP defensive strategies and in responding to and resolving IP defensive mattersDrive freedom to practice program for product development; evaluate and resolve product clearance issues Educate management and technical staff regarding intellectual property protectionSupport M&A due diligence activities  
 
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in engineering; preferably electrical or mechanical engineeringJD from a top tier law school, registered to practice before the USPTOMinimum of 4-8 years experienceExperience in patent application drafting and prosecution, IP licensing, patent opinion drafting, and patent litigation support Additional Qualifications
