Part Time Medical Collector with excellent opportunity for commissions and bonuses
ABSOLUTE COLLECTION SERVICE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part Time Medical Collector to provide the highest level of customer care to debtors with delinquent medical accounts. Responsibilities include contacting debtors by phone to collect payment in full, negotiating reasonable payment plans for recovery of the debt, responding to customer requests and recording information accurately and efficiently. Candidates must be able to work in a team environment while meeting targeted daily, weekly and monthly goals.
Work Hours:Monday through Thursday, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm andSaturdays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in credit and collection work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Medical Collector is required to sit for prolonged periods of time in a call center environment.
PERSONAL SKILLS, APTITUDES AND QUALITIES
Knowledge of hospital credit and collection policies and procedures. Basic medical terminology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Working knowledge of federal and state laws regulating debt collection. Successful candidates must be persuasive and persistent while being sensitive to debtor needs, strong negotiation skills and mathematical ability to explain payments. NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION
Successful completion of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Customer Service Tutorial and HIPAA Certification required.
Physical efforts required to perform essential job functions: Repetitive hand movements, finger dexterity, reading, writing, preparing/analyzing figures, hearing, talking, sitting and walking.

completion of a focused assessment measuring a variety of traits, a review of the applicant's criminal history and substance abuse screening. Previous employment and any additional experience will be subject to verification prior to employment processing.
