PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MGR

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferably in business related field.
Minimum of 15 years professional work experience with a successful track record of project management, traffic management or customer/client service responsibilities.
Highly organized with ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities to meet critical project deadlines.
Attention to detail and follow through on details and project status.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills/negotiation skills and a positive problem solving approach.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, various databases and the Internet.

General Function 

Manage production operations/traffic management function for Marketing Communications for the Individual & Retirement Plans Division and UCL’s local corporate communications projects. Incumbent will work independently and as a part of a team, research, evaluate, plan, recommend, implement and monitor a wide variety of processes to efficiently manage production of projects in a fast paced environment. They will work for VP, Marketing Communications, and with Marketing Managers to prioritize production workflow and meet critical deadlines for all division communication materials and marketing programs. Duties include tactical planning, production/traffic management, people management, budget management, and ensuring that all projects conform to legal compliance standards. They will manage production support staff—including production project managers, production specialists production coordinators and their functions within the Marketing Communications department.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prioritize and manage marketing, sales literature and company wide communications projects through electronic and print production cycles. Work with Marketing Managers to establish priorities and coordinate the flow of these projects from electronic/print production functions (graphic design and printing) to final delivery and destinations.

Provide recommendations for effective and consistent field communications formats, utilizing existing electronic content management systems and other technologies available.

Maintain online shopping cart system linked to inventory management storage and fulfillment processes/controls for all marketing collateral, working closing with Marketing Communications personnel, technology support and client areas of the Company.

Provide ongoing review and recommendations of costs and inventory related measurements for production functions as well as for field requests.

Manage the maintenance of the division’s marketing communications production tracking database.

Review and approve invoices within print expense line parameters established for budget area.
Coordinate mailings: External distribution to the field and clients as well as internal distribution.

Provide pricing/budget support to Marketing Managers for various projects and project components.

Manage staffing issues such as communicating Company policy, conducting timely performance appraisals, and recommending/implementing salary and staff adjustments.
