Orthopedic Service Line Manager

Mercy Medical Center, Stark County's only faith based hospital has an immediate opening for an Orthopedic Service Line Manager.

 

  JOB POSITION: Orthopedic Service Line Manager

  DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration

 

 EMPLOYMENT STATUS:Full-time exempt (80 hours per pay period)

 

WEEKENDS: As needed

 

  SCHEDULED HOURS:  Days

 

  QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing or related healthcare field required.  MBA or MHA preferred.  Clinical experience highly preferred.  A minimum of five years in a position equivalent to a hospital administrator, a hospital operational position with responsibility for operation and growth of one or more key hospital service lines or services, or an administrative/managerial position with significant oversight responsibility.

 

Experience developing strategic plans in collaboration with multiple stakeholders a plus.

 

 

 

   NATURE OF WORK: The Orthopedic Service Line Manager (OSLM) is responsible for the development, implementation and financial results of the service line strategic business plan.  This position is accountable for process and financial improvement through analyzing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and communicating programs to develop, grow, and integrate the services of the orthopedic service line throughout the organization.  The OSLM owns the business of the service line and is responsible and accountable for knowing and exceeding the expectations of their patient customers and physician partners.

 The Orthopedic Service Line Manager will conduct thorough analysis and develop strategies, methodologies, and effective relationships to develop, grow, and integrate core services throughout the organization. The OSLM requires a global perspective of the core service line in order to identify costs, develop appropriate continuums of care, monitor quality initiatives, and set business strategies to address market and financial opportunities. The OSLM requires a strong understanding of managed health care, pricing, contracting, physician perspectives, marketing, and methodologies for evaluating the efficiency of services.
