Operations Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilites

* Strategic planning of all assigned corporate action events,
* Review client documentation for assigned corporate actions events and comment on operational needs and concerns,
* Setup systems to support client events including but not limited to: Databases, Spreadsheets, Cosmos Trust, Encompass, Radar, SCRIP, Workflow.
* Create event specific procedures as required.
* Train employees on event specific procedures.
* Monitor progress of assigned events and report on progress to Project Manager, clients and their authorized representatives.
* Payment reconciliation as per procedures.
* Calculate entitlements on SCRIP or manually.
* Calculate prorate factors.
* Issue entitlements.
* Dispatch entitlements as per applicable policies and procedures.
* Ensure funding is received.
* Movement of funds to cover payments issued.
* Calculate broker solicitation payments.
* Obtain funding for broker solicitation payments and issue payments.
* Calculate and remit withholding taxes as required by the terms of the event.
* Balance and authorize Year End Tax Reporting.
* Accrue un-billed fees for assigned events accurately and timely.
* Provide accurate and timely billing of all fees and expenses for assigned events.
* Research and resolve escalations as assigned.
* Manage department projects such as OSB and ACB campaigns, Year End Tax, etc.
* Audit the work completed by other Operations Project Managers and Operations Project Mangers Assistants.
* Other duties as assigned.

Experience

* Three years stock transfer experience with a proven working knowledge of corporate actions.
* Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and stock transfer regulations Advanced time management and organizational skills.
* Advanced business communication skills.
* Proven experience reading and understanding complex documents.
* Proven math skills.
* Intermediate user knowledge of Word and Excel.
