As a result of company growth, we are seeking a National Accounts Senior Account Manager to be part of our Chicago sales team.

The National Accounts Senior Account Manager will focus on developing existing relationships with strategic accounts. Position requires approximately 30-40% travel, advanced presentation skills, relationship building skills, and the ability to sell additional services to an existing client base.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

Meet monthly account renewal rate goal 88% renewal rate plus 20% upsell rate, for a total of an 108% Recoup Rate

Accurate forecasting

Selling additional services to assigned clientele

Document all client calls and transactions in the appropriate CRM application

Partner with assigned Project Manager and other sales team members to ensure quality customer service

Work with global Account Managers on select accounts

Client training on different software applications

Develop relationships with decision makers at assigned client sites

Work with multiple internal client service groups to ensure that the customer experience is seamless.

Possess the ability to implement large scale enterprise wide systems to a variety of different corporate and agency settings

Client consultation to ensure premium value is being gained

Pre- and post-sales consultation responsibility (renewal and up-sell of services)

Other duties as assigned by the Director, National Accounts or SVP

Requirements:

5-8 years of sales experience focused on development of new business or in sales consultation role

Large account management or project management experience required

Strong ability to gain entry to top-level executives

Proven track record for closing large contracts

Experience in both selling and providing on site client training with a vertical market software application

A communications, public relations or journalism background is preferred

Ability to adapt, overcome objections, and learn complex solutions

Experience selling in the PR vertical is preferred

Bachelors degree preferred
