Success is gained by leading the account team to meet and exceed sales goals, establishing deep and credible relationships with C-Level customer contacts, communicate set of standard metrics for sales team and customer, integration of demand-generation philosophies in all customer-facing communication and engage with customers at a consultative level.Position Requirements:Responsibilities of the National Sales Consultant include, but are not limited to:? Understands and applies industry/market knowledge in customer communications in terms of macro drivers, significant trends and strategic directions? Articulates special custom options and can configure bundling arrangements in order to create a more individualized and integrated solution? Capitalize on proven market specific propositions of value by correlating them to emerging industry trends for advancing the sales situation? Utilizes a personal portfolio of market specific “best-of-breed” benchmarking metrics that he/she can demonstrate through the purchase of his/her products or services will yield metric improvement for the client? Consistently applies a standard set of criteria (such as profitability analysis, risk analysis, market reference ability) prior to committing company resources in pursuing a sales opportunity, as well as gauging the competitor’s solution and constantly reapplies these criteria and competitive analysis to re-qualify the sales investment? Involves the customer in the research process through the utilization of revealing questions or surveys that results in accurate, current, and not readily available business information? Maintains a customer specific database populated with research information from a variety of sources and keeps it refreshed by validating it with senior customer management individuals (i.e. performance metrics, best of breed benchmarking studies, etc.).? Actively engages in coaching of other sales team members, involves them in planning, and seeks to develop his/her channel partners in order to maximize their both their short and long-term sales productivity? Creates, implements and monitors value-added, competitively tested, strategy-focused sales plans? Regularly transitions executive appointments into return visits that yield a quality of friendship/relationship that allows the taking and receiving of phone calls, lunch meetings, reciprocal speaking engagements at each others special company events, introductions to other executives, etc.? Understands how executives think by establishing and maintaining an executive presence within the account. Capable of speaking their language and discussing the topics that concern them? Thinks “Out of the Box” to bring creative answers to customers as a strategic resource by assisting in the setting and meeting of their business goals and objectives or solving customers’ business issues, concerns or problems? Uses a sales communication style that involves and engages customers in collaborative discussions that results in value to both parties? Creatively uses financial tools, models and concepts (such as lease versus buy, cost/benefit analysis, capitalization criteria/depreciation potential, MBO measures that can be positively impacted, etc.) to create a compelling purchasing rationale for driving sales closure, creating demand, or getting budgets reallocated? Selects, recruits, and coalesces commitment of the appropriate internal teammates necessary for selling and delivering a successful sales solution. Mastery of PC Database/Reporting tools for reporting and results ? Create and update sales forecast and reconcile quarterly compensation?
