Mission Analyst SETA- Washington, DC (#080822)

Strategic Analysis is seeking a well-rounded individual to satisfy a requirement for a Mission Analyst Science and Engineering technical Assistant (SETA) position supporting program assessment and management functions.  It is of paramount importance to exceed our client expectations with high integrity and focused attention to milestones. In addition to working well in a team environment, as a successful candidate you will incorporate the following:

 

Requirements:

 

· PHD/MS/BS in scientific or engineering discipline.  Advanced degree preferred

· 5/10/12 years relevant experience

· Knowledge and technical experience in nuclear technology, systems, and applications preferred, including radiation detection and monitoring technology and programs

· Demonstrated experience in project management, quantitative risk analysis, cost-benefit and decision analysis methodologies and applications

· Knowledge in one or more areas of systems development processes and principles such as:

o Modal and multi-modal CONOPS design or analysis

o sensor integration design or analysis

o detector modeling

o architecture modeling

o measures of effectiveness or measures of performance

o  comparative systems analysis

o trade-off studies

o quantitative risk analysis

o cost-benefit analysis

o decision analysis

· Knowledge of various government procurement, contracting, research and development award vehicles

· Familiarity with nuclear detection concepts of operation (e.g. fixed radiation detection portals, handheld, backpack, transportable, or personal radiation detector usage)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (MS-Project, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)

· Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests

· Familiarity with various elements of law enforcement or border enforcement (or a keen willingness to learn) preferred

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Mission Analyst SETA will provide comprehensive support and coordination to our Government clients, including collecting and documenting requirements and specifications for technologies and applications, providing recommendations and assessments for technologies and applications, preparing documents based on your findings and various components of the mission management program.  Additionally, the Mission Analyst SETA will perform technical reviews of mission management deliverables and products as well as providing technical support and expertise to various client teams.  Technical expertise will be further utilized by providing technical monitoring of active awards and contracts in the mission management program including verifying that Statement of Work tasks are completed as negotiated in the award, milestones are met, and fiscal obligations and expenditures are appropriate.  The Mission Analyst SETA will also be required to attend technical meetings, workshops, conferences, in-process reviews, program reviews, site visits, and field tests as directed.  In this position, it will be necessary to maintain a historical timeline of projects within the mission management program by organizing files and documents associated with projects, contracts and other activities.
