WWT employs over 1,000 people and operates more than 1.7 million square-feet of warehousing, distribution and integration space in 20 facilities throughout the world.MATERIALS PLANNERPrimary Function: The Materials Planner is responsible for effective procurement of material in support of customer service goals, planned inventory levels and facilitates efficient utilization of logistical capacity. Responsibilities:Daily project management of assigned partsReview for inventory shortage and continuity of supply issues - expedite material as neededDaily processing of requisitions and purchase order placementAnalyze customer forecast projections and internal forecast projections to establish order requirementsCommunicate forecasted demand to suppliers and determine most advantageous replenishment policyProvide input on Vendor Performance Evaluation in the areas of continuity of supply and serviceCollaborate with customer and suppliers to minimize costs of material introductions and phase-outsIdentify and recommend disposition of excess and obsolete inventoriesAct as point-of-contact for projects tied to assigned partsInteract with and support various customer requestsWork with material coordinators to resolve invoice discrepancies and receipt non-conformancesCoordinates and communicates with suppliers, management, WWT warehouse and WWT side coordinators to ensure customer requirements are met Qualifications:College education preferred with broad knowledge of supply chain and/or business administration 3+ years experience in materials control, materials planning and/or procurementStrong analytical skills with focus on critical thinkingPC literate with proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and WordERP knowledge, preferably OracleA commitment to customer serviceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be a Team playerAbility to work effectively with minimal management directionAPICS and/or CPM certification a plus
