Our search is for top talent for this newly created position as a Market Development Manager.We are looking for a candidate with proven success in marketing and business development, who is technically minded with solid decision making ability. And, if your experience has been involved in the Wind Energy Industry, that is a definite plus! Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing strategies to establish or improve the company's position to identify priority markets, and assist with the development of long-range and competitive strategies to compete in those markets. Develop and execute both short and long term programs for product lines and implement programs to achieve sales and profitability objectives. Provides input into product improvements to meet changing market needs. Conduct practical market research to determine products, set targets, establish pricing and sales channels. Will also assist with strategic negotiations with customers. This position will travel up to 50% in the field to identify needs and develop new product ideas and stimulate product support by distributors and end-users. Attend trade shows and other events/meetings to gather information relating to market conditions, customer needs and competitive offerings Will author technical articles on height safety in the wind energy segment and become the technical speaker at industry events and participate on standards committees.
