Manager of Planning and Environmental Compliance

POSITION:

Sapphos Environmental, Inc., a growing environmental consulting firm, located in Pasadena, is recruiting for a Manager of Environmental Compliance to oversee and develop a team of environmental professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in CEQA and/or NEPA compliance, management, document review, project management, technical writing, and business development.

 

CORE DUTIES:

·  Maintain current knowledge of primary environmental statutes and regulations

·  Review sections for CEQA and NEPA documents, business correspondence, memoranda, and various other reports

·  Manage project managers and ensure successful project completion

·  Secure new business for group

·  Maintain and grow business relationships with clients

·  Train and develop group

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·  Knowledge about the Southern California market

·  Expertise in CEQA and/or NEPA

·  Extensive industry experience

·  Management experience

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·  Skills in using personal computers and be knowledgeable about MS Office



 

EDUCATION:

Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Planning, Environmental Management, Ecology, or Earth Sciences with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of relevant experience; PhD a plus.

 

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position will vary depending on level of education and experience.
