Mail Room Supervisor/Maintenance coordinator
School Innovations & Advocacy (SI&A) is a growing full service firm with expertise in categorical programs, attendance, special education, mandates and advocacy. With the success of school districts in mind, we deliver solutions for all aspects of school operations that ensure compliance with state requirements and customized consulting for cost-effective programs. With over 150 employees in four offices throughout California, SI&A offers both district and school site level consulting. Our goal is to always be "ahead of the curve" in anticipating the upcoming challenges that will be faced by school districts.
SI&A is currently looking for a Full-Time Support Services Coordinator to act as our Mail Room Supervisor in our Rancho Cordova Office who has the capabilities and passion to fulfill SI & A’s objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:Handle outgoing mail including but not limited to FedEx, UPS and U.S. Postal mail. This includes preparing packages for mailing, preparing mailing labels through computer software programs, and tracking packages.Prepare and ship conference materials.Provide basic maintenance for copy and mailroom equipment and call for repairs. Collaborate with and provide support to various company departments including completing photocopy requests from employees.Order and maintain inventory of office and stationary supplies.Provide general light labor, including moving and assembling furniture, hanging bulletin boards, etc.Collect paper recycling from all employees and coordinate pick up schedule with recycling company, as needed.Assign work to Clerks, including temporary agency staff.Maintain building facilities including but not limited to periodic inspection of building structure, perform maintenance or schedule maintenance for all building repairs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.2 plus years experience with copy/mail room procedures and equipment and facilities management.Able to operate office equipment including, but not limited to, fax machine, copy machine, postage meter, folder.Excellent verbal, and written, communication skills with superior customer service skills.Attention to detail and organization skills a must.Must be proficient in MS Office software, good computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, Acrobat and data entry skills. Able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds with or without a dolly.Must provide own transportation for company errands, maintain a good driving record and maintain insurance coverage meeting the proper minimum company requirements.Must be able to drive trucks up to 25 ft in length.Must act as liaison to vendors.Must have organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of budgets and deadlines.Familiar with UPS Worldship and knowledge of common carrier utilization a plus.
