Location: Saint Joseph, MI 49085 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Reference Code: 1001124314 MATERIALS PLANNERMaterials Planner to lead Prototype Builds by tracking all parts for the builds for Atlantic and Pacific, provide cost and timing estimates, summarize final costs, ensure parts reach destination, work with manufacturing to create build plans, obtain working knowledge of how the unit is assembled, and know what parts look like and their key functions. Work with Engineering and procurement on BOM (Bill of Material) activities to make sure procurement has the needed models for quotation.  Review quotes to make sure the estimates reflect the parts required and that the cost is reasonable (referencing current part cost). Track units after the build, making sure they get to the labs, engineering, etc. on time to ensure the most efficient use of the units that were built. This role will ensure successful builds in the future and also ensure the units we build are in the right location at the right time. This role will help drive efficiency of the technology group. Additional BOM Activities will assist with Communication between Procurement and Technology and ensure all parts are being quoted etc. These tasks will enable technology to get to builds faster with more organization, and ensure units built are tracked not only by location but also keep track of changes or tests that were done on each unit. Ultimately, this individual through proper facilitation of the activities mentioned above will get Atlantic to production faster.
