Korean Translator Position in Greenville, SC

A leading manufacturer in the Upstate, SC area is seeking a translator with Korean language proficiencies. Qualified candidates will have the ability to speak and read Korean. Korean writing skills are a plus. There is a great potential to advance within the company in this position. Job Purpose:Facilitates communication by performing related duties.Duties:* Prepares for interpretation/translation by researching subject matter; studying text to be translated.* Translates speech/text by listening to speaker; understanding the thoughts expressed; incorporating cultural influences; consulting other sources as necessary; explaining the thought in target language while simultaneously listening to next statement, or, taking notes for consecutive translation.* Evaluates translation by reviewing clarity and grammar; making adjustments in meaning.* Delivers interpretation and/or prepares translation by speaking live, dictating, or keying translated text.* Verifies translation by proofreading translated text.* Updates job knowledge by reading publications in the source language; participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Skills/Qualifications:Language Fluency, Verbal Communication, Informing Others, Written Communication, Client Relationships, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Professionalism, Documentation Skills, Dealing with Complexity, Meeting PlanningApply by submitting resumes as a Word document to heatherchampion@mergisgroup.com .
