Job Developer (Transition and Adult Services – 30 year old Non-Profit Company)

The Almansor Center’s Transition and Adult Services (T.A.S), under the guise of The Institute for the Redesign of Learning, offers personal and vocational skills training to youth and adults with developmental disabilities, emotional or mental health issues and/ or duel diagnose.  Participants in T.A.S. are empowered to overcome social and adaptive skills deficits, which often prevent them from living and working independently or interfere with the quality of life that they are seeking to obtain.

Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Job Developer position in our South Pasadenaoffice.  If you are a go getter, outgoing, friendly, sales oriented, and enjoy working with adults with disabilities; we want to hear from you!  This position will be responsible for networking and developing employer relations, assessing and interviewing clients for their skills and abilities, and teaching clients about the employment process.  This position will be traveling through out San GabrielValley, with occasional travel to downtown Los Angeles and San Fernando. 

Requirements:Must have a bachelors in vocational/ rehabilitation, social services, or related field; will consider individuals with a bachelors in process, combined with extensive experienceMust have a valid California Driver’s License, as well own reliable transportation Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have a minimum of 3 years experience working with adults with developmental, learning, physical, or mental health disabilities within the vocational/rehabilitation services field, NO EXCEPTIONS!Bilingual Spanish preferredUpon hire, you will be required to take a TB test, fingerprinting, health screening, and complete a CPR and First Aid training course for certification
